3. Statutory Committees & Cells

The following committees are constituted as per UGC regulations and university guidelines. Names of members are displayed on the college notice board and updated here each session.

Anti-Ragging Committee & Squad

Ragging is totally prohibited in the college under the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009. Any student found guilty is liable to expulsion and criminal prosecution.

  • Every student and parent must submit the anti-ragging affidavit at admission (online at antiragging.in).

  • Complaints may also be made to the Principal or any member of the Anti-Ragging Committee, in person or through the contact form.
Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

Constituted under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and UGC regulations 2015, to address complaints of sexual harassment. The committee is chaired by a senior woman faculty member and includes an external member.

Students' Grievance Redressal Committee

As per the UGC (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023, students may lodge grievances relating to admission, fees, examinations, facilities or conduct. Grievances are acknowledged within 3 working days and resolved within 15 working days.

  • Submit in writing to the Principal's office, or email kakolatdegreecollege@gmail.com with the subject "Grievance".
  • Unresolved grievances may be escalated to the university Ombudsperson.
Anti-Discrimination Cell & SC/ST Cell

Ensures a campus free from discrimination on the basis of caste, religion, gender, region or disability, and facilitates welfare schemes for SC/ST students.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

Responsible for continuous improvement in teaching, learning and administration, and for preparation towards NAAC assessment.

4. Fee Structure & Refund Policy

The fee structure for each programme is published on the Admissions page and the notice board before the start of every session. Refund of fees on withdrawal is governed by the UGC notification on refund of fees and the university's rules.

5. Right to Information

Information requests relating to the college may be addressed to the Principal's office. The college endeavours to respond to all bona fide requests within 30 days.

  • Tobacco-free campus: the campus is a tobacco-free and alcohol-free zone under COTPA, 2003.
